Culture and Creative Industries in Germany

The  study introduces two important new focal points to the discussion which were not included in earlier culture industries reports. Internal segmentation is newly introduced as a basic element for the investigation of culture and creative industries. This means that the complex of branches is determined by the fundamentally different types of enterprises it contains and their specific structural characteristics. Internal segmentation breaks up branches into major companies, small and medium enterprises and micro enterprises or freelance workers. Each of these actors is analysed with respect to empirical data as well as to its structural characteristics.

Welche neuen Kulturwirtschaftsstudien gibt es?

Stand: März 2009, Liste der Kulturwirtschaftsstudien.

Der Bund sowie die Länder Thüringen(2009), Berlin(2009), Hessen(2008), Niedersachsen(2007) und NRW(2007), NRW(2009) haben aktuelle Berichte zum Thema veröffentlicht. Sachsen wird ab Mitte/Ende März einen Kulturwirtschaftsbericht (2009) vorstellen. Alle Berichte können in der Regel bei den Öffentlichkeits- oder Pressereferate der jeweiligen Wirtschafts-/Kulturministerien erfragt werden oder sind als pdf-Datei im Netz, zum Teil auch hier in der kulturwirtschaft.de, bereits vorhanden.

Das Forschungsgutachten Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft der Bundesregierung wird bis zum 17.März.2009 auch in englisch-sprachiger Fassung vorliegen. Wir werden berichten.
